Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm | Fred Meijer Nature Preserve
All are welcome to join the outdoor group as we experience God’s creation together at Fred Meijer Nature Preserve at Pickerel Lake Park (6001 Ramsdell Dr. NE, Rockford). We’ll hike the 2-mile trail around the lake and enjoy the beauty of the changing leaves and fall bird migration. A handicap-accessible boardwalk is available for those who would prefer to sit and enjoy the scenery, and catch-and-release fishing is also permitted.
Optional: After the hike, those who would like to continue the adventure can meet at Townsend Park for an 8-mile round-trip bike ride along the Cannon Township Bike Trail, featuring hilly neighborhoods and boardwalk wetlands.
